With its thick, pointed blade, this is the ideal tool for weeding or cutting salad vegetables and dandelions.

Although simple in appearance, Opinel knives are the result of very elaborate techniques in which Joseph Opinel put function first and then combined it with aesthetic quality.

Handle - Varnished Beech

One of the most elegant large trees, with a smooth trunk and dense foliage. Beech wood is very good for carving.

Blade Length for No.8 Garden Knife - 8.5cm

The Sandvik stainless steel, developed by Opinel is renowed for its incomparable cutting qualities and does not require any special washing upkeep. The stainless steel capable of undergoing the heat treatment that gives it its good hardness is called martensitic. It has a carbon content of at least 0.40%, giving it a good cutting edge and an excellent resistance to corrosion.

Safety - VIROBLOC

Safety: The double safety ring "VIROBLOC", created by Marcel Opinel in 1955, locks the blade either in open or closed position.
